Safe Swim was founded by a group of dedicated young volunteers, starting with students from NIST International School in 2018. Today, we have grown to include volunteers from more than 15 schools across Thailand and internationally, and more than 80 members, all working toward a critical goal: equipping children and youth across Thailand with water survival skills so they can save themselves and help others.
Our programs are supported by expert coaches from the Swimming Association of Thailand, who help design and oversee safe, high-quality training. We focus on teaching underprivileged children, especially in provinces with high drowning rates, giving them essential life skills to protect themselves in water emergencies.

PROJECTS

Projects for underprivileged children in rural provinces with high drowning rates, and programs for children with hearing impairment.

DONATION

Join us in supporting a program that teaches children essential swimming and water survival skills, empowering them to save themselves and help others during water emergencies.
Help us provide equal opportunities for all children by supporting skills training for over 1,000 children, including those who are deaf or hard of hearing.

MEMBERS

Our volunteer team of over 80 youth, aged 14–18, from over 15 schools, including those in the US, UK, Canada and Thailand,
are the heart of the Safe Swim mission.

Coach Niwat, Consultant

I believe every life has value. Swimming is not merely a sport skill; it is a life skill that enables children to survive in real-life situations. As coaches, we don’t just teach them to swim—we teach them to 'respect the water,' to be cautious, and to help one another when a friend is in danger. This project not only helps reduce drowning rates but also builds confidence, courage, and a safety consciousness in our youth.

Homey, Leader

Through establishing the Survival Swimming Project with the SafeSwim team, I have witnessed the smiles of children as they gradually overcome their fear of water and learn how to survive an unexpected aquatic incident and how to help others who are struggling. I am proud to have played a part in giving them the opportunity to grow up safer.
